Capital Improvements Well Spent

Yuma, Ariz. – The City of Yuma’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2017-2021 is now available online; residents are invited to review it and provide feedback to the City.
The purpose of the CIP is to identify and address infrastructure needs while adopting the goals and policies set forth by City Council and the City of Yuma’s General Plan.
The CIP is the City's financial plan for the improvement and/or construction of municipal infrastructure. Infrastructure includes the systems and facilities needed to provide services to residents such as sidewalks, streets, parks, fire stations, police facilities, and water and sewer systems.
Capital projects represent a significant investment in the construction of new infrastructure and the improvement or expansion of current infrastructure.
The direct link to the draft CIP is here, found from the City’s home page of www.yumaaz.gov by clicking on Departments, then City Administration, then clicking on Capital Improvement Program in the left-hand column.
Should residents prefer, paper copies can be found at the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of City Hall, One City Plaza; the Public Works Services Building, 1st Avenue and 14th Street; and the Heritage Library, 3rd Street and 3rd Avenue.
